Admission into the Diploma and Printing Management Programmes
Peace House Press is an arm of Peace House Publishing that offers a Vocational Discipleship Training Scheme (VDATS) in collaboration with the Society of Printing Practitioners of Nigeria (SPPN) for young disciples with the aim of raising disciples that will occupy the market place in printing industry with the new creation life and restore standard and godliness.
God has commanded us to stop weeping over the decay in our society and raise sons and daughters with the new specie of life that He will use to heal our society. It is in response to this that we are offering the apprenticeship training programme for this aspect of our society.

Mastery of different aspects of Printing.
A. PROGRAM AVAILABLE AND DURATION
DIPLOMA IN PRINTING COURSE
For this course, all trainees shall be trained in all sections of Peace House Press and shall specialize in a particular aspect within a period of three (3) years for full-time or until the trainee is deemed to have acquired adequate technical skills as to merit the award of the “Peace House Press Diploma In Printing Certificate”
ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN PRINT MANAGEMENT COURSE
For this course all trainees shall be trained in all sections of the Peace House Press particular emphasis on managing and resourcing in all the different sections of the printing press for a period of two (2) years full-time or until the trainee is deemed to have acquired adequate technical and managerial skills as to merit the award of the “Peace House Press Advance Diploma in Print Management Certificate”.
B. ENTRY QUALIFICATION AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
An Applicant shall be:
Born again with a clear evidence of New Birth experience and prepared to work and grow in a Christian environment.
Interested in growing spiritually as a child of God.
Able to communicate and write in English Language.
For the DIPLOMA IN PRINTING COURSE,an applicant must possess a WAEC, SSCE, NECO or GCE O' Level Certificate (or its equivalence) with five (5) passes in Science or Commercial subjects including English and Mathematics. Three (3) of the five Subjects must be Credit. (Credit pass in Chemistry or Physics will be an added advantage)
For the ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN PRINT MANAGEMENT COURSE,an applicant must:
possess an OND, HND (BSC) in any discipline; or
possess the Peace House Press Diploma in Printing Certificate with a minimum of two years working experience; or
a written testimonial of having worked in a standard Printing organization, in a junior management position for minimum of five years at a supervisory level.
C. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All applications shall be made by filling of forms.
An application shall be deemed successful after a formal interview and a written offer of admission.
A successful applicant shall provide two Referees (including parent) and a Guarantor (not parent) who shall be a deeply committed Christian in good standing in his immediate community.
A successful applicant is required to possess a personal Laptop computer, safety boot, and overall jacket. These are compulsory items to be brought that will enhance the training and safety of the trainee.
A trainee shall be responsible for his/her accommodation and upkeep throughout the period of the training
The Peace House Press, shall collect No Fees from any trainee under any arrangement throughout the entire period of training.
The Peace House Press, shall not pay any allowance or remuneration to any trainee during the period of training.
When a circumstance is beyond the trainee's control to complete his training, he shall give a three months notification except in the case of an emergency.
All successful trainees will be released from training by prayer and impartation in addition to the award of appropriate certificates, which will be awarded jointly by both the SPPN and Peace House Publishing Team
All trainees, on successful completion of their period of training may be linked with the National or International professional printing institutes or Bodies (on merit) for integration.
In the event of gross misconduct, theft, indiscipline, immorality, fighting by a trainee, the management may terminate the apprenticeship without prior formal notice. The trainee in case of theft or damage may also be required to return or replace such items.
D. PROGRAM CONTENT AND OUTLAY
To achieve the objective of Christ life and character development, all trainees, irrespective of course, shall;
Participate in Regular and compulsory devotion, Bible studies, Retreats etc;
Belong to and be involved in Floor Group activities and discussions;
Be attached to and submit in a personal relationship with a Vocational Discipler.
To achieve the objective of training in printing press operations for the award of the Diploma in Printing Certificate, the trainee shall be required to learn and work in the various aspects of printing in the following sections of the Press:
Word processing, typesetting and Design;
Outputting, Film Planning, Digital Platemaking and processing;
Printing Machine Operation;
Paper Cutting /Trimming operations;
Collating and Checking (QC);
Collating and Packaging
Binding, Stitching, Trimming, Checking (QC);
To achieve the objective of training in printing press operation for the award of the Advance Diploma in Print Management Certificate, the trainee shall be required in addition to (ii) above to learn and work in the various aspects of press management under the following headings:
A brief exposure to all the requirements for the award of Advance Diploma in Print Management Certificate as in (ii) above;
Leadership and Administration; Record Keeping and Accounting;
Quality Control and Safety Regulation;
Store Management and Resourcing a Press;
Equipment Procurement and Maintenance.
