WHEN HE COMES - 15

"When He Comes... Be In Step with Jesus"

So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Now Martha said to Jesus, 'Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.'Jesus said to her, 'your brother will rise again.' Martha said to Him, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.'Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?''She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ the Son of God who is to come into the world.
John 11:17, 21-27 NKJV:

The third hindrance I noticed (through this action of Martha) is our tendency to rush out and go about while we have left him behind. Martha's discussion with Christ was not concluded before she went her way. She went and told Mary that the “Master has come and is calling for you.” There was no point in their discussion that the LORD sent her to call Mary. It was uncalled for ... the Master was actually going to the house. He had decided to come, why keep him two miles away? Even if Mary comes to Him, the dead Lazarus will not be raised two miles away from the tomb. Martha has only added “8miles” of trekking to the whole time of “Lazarus' restoration.”

Unbelief always causes delay in God's purpose. God waits to clear our unbelief and to find one who says, “Lord, I believe; be it unto me according to Thy Word.” Running around while we keep him aside and away will only bring more trouble to the church, we will only be adding more time of decay unto God's people. It is only wise if we wait at His feet, until He is ready to move.
